An Oklahoma native, Morgan Rothwell grew up in love with show tunes, lip-syncing to “It’s a Hard Knock Life” on her Hello Kitty CD Player. At seven years old, she got bit by the acting bug when she was cast as Molly in a production of Annie. That feisty little orphan never left her — and neither did Morgan’s love for storytelling.
She went on to study Musical Theatre at the University of Central Oklahoma, where she built a strong foundation in ballet, jazz, acting, and vocal technique under the mentorship of Amy Reynolds-Reed, Dr. Marilyn Govich, and Greg White. Her years there shaped not just her craft, but her belief that the most moving performances come from curiosity, discipline, and a genuine love for people.
In 2021, Morgan packed her bags and moved to New York City, where she now calls the Upper West Side home. Since then, she’s made auditioning her full-time job and found an inspiring community of artists who challenge her to grow both on and off the stage. She’s currently trains with vocal coach Sarah K. Brown, and has taken acting courses from Matt Newton and Peter Hargrave.
On stage, Morgan has taken on roles like Eliza in My Fair Lady, Sandy in Grease, and Cinderella — women whose strength and sweetness coexist, who lead with grace but can be infused with complexity.
Offstage, you can find her sweating it out in hot yoga, savoring a quiet morning coffee, or redesigning her apartment for the fifteenth time. She believes a rich creative life begins with a full personal one — that paying attention to the world and those in it is an artist’s greatest form of study.
Morgan brings warmth, precision, and a touch of old-world charm to every project she touches, always chasing stories that remind audiences what’s beautiful, funny, and deeply human about being alive.
